The magical pond 'The Enchanted Spring'

This a commission that I did for (Irksum on FA)

It's a huge digital painting, done with paint tool SAI and some touch ups on photoshop CS5.


Tooks me several weeks to finish this one. It's so far one of my largest project to do.

The picture takes place in a Forest, quite magical indeed. You can wonder if a old tribe of horses adorer and magicians was living here centuries ago..This mysterious pond surrounded by ruins have the power to turn all the adventurers who touch the water into horses.
Theses two humans have been "trapped" by the magical power of this pond. You can see them transforming suddenly into horses. The men is almost a half human/horse creature during the transformation process. The girl, starts slowly to have equine features.
Their two mounts are quite surprised. To see humans turning into horses are not a common thing.
Except maybe for the 3 horses in the background. They are living next to the pont. Maybe they see this kind of scene often.
Maybe, they used to be human too..


I totaly hope you like it, for people who thinks that this scene is too "strange" for them, i've done two version without humans and without characters.
